Weather causing disruption to services throughout Southern England

Poor weather conditions and high winds are causing disruption in Southern and Western parts of England today, Thursday 5th January 2012.

Due to the wind, a number of trees and other objects are obstructing rail lines at various locations in the South and West of England.

In addition, a broken down train is causing disruption at Mortimer.

The following alterations will apply until further notice:

CrossCountry

Journeys between Bournemouth and Southampton Central may be delayed by up to 20 minutes

First Great Western

Journeys through Fareham may be delayed by up to 45 minutes
Train services between Chilworth and Gomshall may be delayed by up to 20 minutes
Train services between Southampton Central and Salisbury may be delayed by up to 20 minutes
Train services between Westbury and Castle Cary may be delayed by up to 33 minutes

Southern

Train services between Arundel and Horsham are being delayed by up to 30 minutes

South West Trains

Journeys through Fareham may be delayed by up to 30 minutes
Train services between Southampton Central and Salisbury via Romsey may be delayed by up to 30 minutes
