Rail delays around Ely on Thursday 5th January

An obstruction on the line is causing disruption near Thetford.

There are delays of up to 45 minutes to trains between Ely and Norwich. These delays will continue until further notice.

In addition, Overhead wire problems are causing disruption near Littleport.

Because of this, the following alterations will apply until further notice:

A train service is operating between Kings Lynn and Downham Market.

Trains depart Downham Market at 10 and 40 minutes past the hour, trains depart Kings Lynn at 29 and 59 minutes past the hour.

Buses are replacing trains between Downham Market and Ely

Kings Lynn – London Kings Cross services are operating between Ely and London Kings Cross only.

Passengers may use CrossCountry services to travel between Peterborough, Ely and Cambridge

As a result of the above, journeys may be extended by up to 90 minutes.
