Major delays through Leighton Buzzard after person struck by train

A person has been hit by a train at Leighton Buzzard on Thursday 5th January 2012.

As a result journeys between London Euston / Shepherds Bush and Milton Keynes Central may be delayed by up to 90 minutes. These delays will continue until approximately 15:00 today.

Ticket Acceptance

London Midland customers can use London Overground services between London Euston and Watford Junction.

Southern customers can use London Midland trains on all reasonable routes.

Virgin Trains customers can use the following alternative routes:

* Chiltern Railways services between London and Birmingham via Banbury
* East Coast services between London Kings Cross and Leeds to connect with First TransPennine Express / Northern Rail services
* East Midlands Trains services between London St Pancras International and Leicester / Derby / Sheffield to connect with CrossCountry trains
* First Great Western trains between London Paddington and Bristol Parkway / Newport to connect with CrossCountry / Arriva Trains Wales services

London Overground trains between London Euston and Watford Junction are NOT affected by this disruption.
