Delays between Rugby, Northampton and Milton Keynes Central until further notice

A broken down freight train is causing disruption to Virgin Trains and London Midland services through Wolverton.

As a result of this disription, trains are subject to delays of up to 120 minutes between Rugby / Northampton and Milton Keynes Central. These delays will continue until further notice.

For the duration of this disruption, Virgin Trains passengers may use:

Chiltern Railways services between London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill
CrossCountry services between Birmingham International / Coventry and Banbury (to connect with Chiltern Railways services to/from London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill)
East Midlands Trains between London St Pancras and Sheffield to connect with First TransPennine Express services to Manchester
East Coast services between London Kings Cross and Scotland, Newcastle (for Carlisle), and Leeds (for Manchester)
Northern Rail services between Manchester Piccadilly and Stoke-on-Trent
ScotRail services between Edinburgh and Glasgow
London Underground for transfer between Kings Cross St Pancras, Euston and Marylebone.

Virgin Trains passengers who have decided not to travel today may travel tomorrow, Wednesday 31 August instead.

London Midland passengers may use:

Chiltern Railways services between London Marylebone and Birmingham Snow Hill
East Midlands Trains between London St Pancras International and Wellingborough (buses are providing a shuttle service between Wellingborough and Northampton).
