Severe delays to trains from London Waterloo Monday 6th June 2011

A major signalling failure in the Walton on Thames area is severely affecting South West Trains services into and out of London Waterloo.

The following changes to services are in place until the end of services tonight.

Trains between London Waterloo and Wimbledon / Woking will not run between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction. Passengers should travel between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction on other ‘Windsor Line’ services or use Southern trains between London Victoria and Clapham Junction

Trains between London Waterloo and Portsmouth are now calling at Woking again.

Trains between London Waterloo and Alton will start and terminate at Woking.

Trains between London Waterloo and Salisbury and Exeter St Davids will start and terminate at Basingstoke.

Trains between London Waterloo and Basingstoke will call additionally at Esher, Hersham and Byfleet & New Haw

Trains between London Waterloo and Weymouth will call additionally at Clapham Junction, Woking and Basingstoke.

Other trains are being diverted to Chertsey and most South West Trains services in the area are being delayed by up to 90 minutes.

First Great Western are accepting South West Train ticket holders today between Basingstoke and Reading and London Paddington.

London Underground are accepting South West Train tickets today between Paddington and Waterloo in both directions.

First Capital Connect are accepting South West Trains tickets this evening between Wimbledon and London.

London Buses are accepting South West Train tickets on all reasonable routes.

    Been stuck on train just outside vauxhall station now for nearly 20 mins, no announcement from the driver.

    What the hell is going on????????

    Finally on the move, be nice if the train driver bothered to give announcements as to why we were stuck!

    Trains still not making much progress. Stopping at nearly every signal. Taken 2hours with no station stops to get Woking from Waterloo
